Dew shield / hood with integrated dovetail for flat panels to protect telescopes from stray light and dew
Features:

- Ultra low-profile flat sides to fit under most focusers
- Integrated Losmandy-type dovetail to attach motorized flat panels with a clamp (e.g. Primaluce)
- Compatible with tie strap panels (e.g. Wanderer, Pegasus)
- Compatible with most focus masks
- 4x non-scratching tightening knobs
- Rigid shield will maintain it’s shape and location – ensuring there are no changes between the illumination of the flat calibrations and the light frames

Nicely made part. It is stiff but very light. I liked the captured nuts for the locating screws-that is a nice touch. It helps to slide the dew shield over the tube end rings, evenly snug up the screws then slide the shield up till all the screws are up against the end ring before completing the tightening process. Weather here has been bad so I haven’t had a chance to test the scope with the shield but I have no doubt it will be a big improvement!

A very nice and lightweight dew shield that fits very nicely on the front of my Skymax 180. It also has flat surfaces so that it won’t roll down the hill if you need to remove it for any reason.

Fits well on my 8” newtonian, but the screw are on the edge of the rounded flange. A few more millimeters on the side of the screws it will lock better. Anyway great product!
