Description
Takahashi Epsilon Telescope Cooling Kit – Active Cooling Fan
Overview
- Actively cool the telescope before imaging
- Mitigate internal tube thermals – Improves image quality
- Fully Baffled – No light leaks
- Kit uses silicone vibration suppressors – The fan is suspended and NOT screwed to the body, thus eliminating the risk of image blurring from vibration
- Moving air past the optics delays the onset of dew as the temperature will be closer to ambient and not lower
- Calculated air flow ensures laminar flow – Overpowered fans increase the chances of air turbulence that can degrade the image
- Lightweight, silent, and uses very little power (0.02 amps) – 50 grams (1.8 Ounces)
Air flow
- Volume: 8.2 cubic m3/hr – 4.8 CFM

Charles –
This kit is extremely easy to setup and works flawlessly with the ASIAIR. The fan breaks the boundary layers at the mirror surface and helps reducing dew on the primary. Highly recommended for any Takahashi Epsilon owner.
