Telescope Control Center Platform – Inline (Lengthwise)

A platform that will clamp on to any Losmandy or Vixen type dovetail and allow the user to create their own telescope control center.

The modular design can be used to configure the platform with mini PCs, ZWO ASIAIRs, and power distribution hubs.

Mechanical

  • CAD designed and FDM printed for a combination of exceptional strength and low weight thanks to the tough carbon fiber composite material that offers excellent mechanical properties.
  • Engineering grade material used is a composite of polymers and carbon fiber which are fused at high temperatures over 500 deg F (no glue or epoxy is used)
  • Machined aluminum knob with stainless steel hardware – spring loaded mechanism

    I have been using an “inline” control center platform (vixen) on the top of my CarbonStar 150, the quality of the product is A+, and it provides a plethora of mounting options for just about any accessory you can think of!

    One big advantage of using one of these is that you can populate it with ASIAir, guider etc and move all your accessories in one move from one scope to another!!!

    Ordered Vixen but now ive upgraded to a Losmandy bar scope, too bad they don’t work on both and you need to pick one version.

    Great solution to mount a PC and usb/power controller. Unit can stay intact and moved to different scopes. I chose this route over all-in-one computer like Eagle, etc.
