Tightening the scews of the guid shoe clamp is a bit difficult – you can see why even from the image. Also, I was expecting this item to be much lighter than its equivalent aluminum ones; it isn’t – the difference is marginal.
That said, it does work well and it feels secure and rigid – once you secure the thumb screws properly.

great convertor for the end of your rail for above or below mounted on a top rail

Excellent finder/guide scope shoe adapter. Fits perfectly on both sides, and of course is very lightweight.
Dick Gentry –
This part is exactly what I needed and it is very well made. With it I can mount a Baader Sky Surfer V finder far enough forward on my new AT150EDL to minimize the neck bending sometimes required when using an RDF on a refractor. The price was right and the service was excellent. I am completely satisfied with the entire transaction.

just what I needed to add a guider to a pre-existing scope (Carbonstar 150) with a vixen bar on the top of the rings…
A+ quality, almost too good to use/waste on a telescope!
