A close-up of the Pelican nebula.
Here we see a bit more details of Herbig-Haro objects (HH), a truly beautiful phenomena signaling new star birth. The ionized jets interact with clouds of dust at high-speed forming these complex and transient shapes.
This image was captured through 3nm ultra-narrowband filters and is a composite of ionized Sulphur, Hydrogen, and Oxygen atoms and displayed with a modified SHO “Hubble” Palette. Data was collected over 4 nights near the summer solstice up to the 26th of June 2022 from the outskirts of Vancouver, Canada (Botle 6).
