Dew shield / hood with integrated dovetail for flat panels to protect telescopes from stray light and dew
Features:
- Internal knife-edge baffles – Designed used raytracing to trap stray light
- Contrast is improved by blocking unwanted light from surroundings
- Carbon composite – lightweight – high strength and stiffness
- Ultra low-profile flat sides to fit under most focusers
- Integrated Losmandy-type dovetail to attach motorized flat panels with a clamp (e.g. Primaluce)
- Compatible with tie strap panels (e.g. Wanderer, Pegasus)
- Compatible with most focus masks
- 4x non-scratching tightening knobs
- Rigid shield will maintain it’s shape and location – ensuring there are no changes between the illumination of the flat calibrations and the light frames

The dew shield is a work of art in fit and finish. It fits the Sharpstar 13028HNT-AL OTA perfectly and the internal light baffles worked effectively at blocking stray light. Due to the exact fit around the scope opening, and 4 plastic screws, there is absolutely no sagging at any scope angle. The carbon fiber construction makes it very light for its size and I am still able to use the factory dust cover.

I put this on my little Sharpstar 15028 and it is nothing short of amazing!!! Killed all the reflections from the secondary and turned the scope from good to excecptional! When you see how precisely its manufactured, you’ll be blown away by how reasonably priced it is as well. Cannot recommend Rouz’s stuff enough. He makes real solutions to real problems and blending his engineering background and first hand knowledge of imaging into great products. Keep it up bud!!!!
